Mogumbo – our gps that is. Karate Girl and I were driving somewhere the other day, and I started wondering why our GPS didn’t have a name. After all, Spike the mini van is named after a bad assed vamp from Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Doesn’t the GPS deserve a name too?
“But mom, of course Spike needs a name, we use him all the time!” said Karate Girl. “We don’t use…never mind, he needs a name too.”
She then proceeded to examine the GPS carefully trying to come up with the perfect name. She tried out a few like banana (it’s yellow) and Rocky (my suggestion, quickly shot down) when all of a sudden, Karate Girl shouts out, “I know, Mogumbo!”
“Mogumbo? Sweetie, I don’t like GUMBO, why would I be wanting to name the GPS something that means MORE gumbo?”
“Mum, don’t think of it as MORE GUMBO, just think of it as Mogumbo.”
And so, Mogumbo it is.”
In other news – we’re putting together our green belt/green stripe belt multi cache and hopefully putting it out today. And our travel bug, Key of Knowledge is ready to go. I just need to take it’s picture and find the perfect place to hide it. Oh I’m going to an event tomorrow….maybe I can drop it with someone there.
